Element No. 29
Element No. 29 consists of 6 original bracelets designed and named after each syllable from the purification mantra, Om Mani Padme Hum.
Om purifies ego. Ma purifies jealousy. Ni purifies passion. Pad purifies ignorance. Me purifies greed. Hum purifies hatred.
"These six syllables, Om Mani Padme Hum, mean that in dependence on the practice which is an indivisible union of method and wisdom, you can transform your impure body, speech, and mind into the pure body, speech, and mind of a Buddah." - Dalai Lama
Copper has been long associated with healing, and purification. Ancient cultures used copper as a healing mineral, internally and externally. It was ingested to bring health and vitality; and it was used externally to aid in the healing of wounds by preventing infection.
It is also a conductor of energies beneficial to balancing your chakras and meridians.
Copper is an incredibly durable, yet malleable. You will be able to form your cuff, to your person, as it is most comfortable for you. Once molded, it should become an extension of your person.
Cleansing your copper is incredibly easy. If you wish your copper to remain bright, slice a lemon or lime in half, dip the fruit into salt, and scrub the cuff clean. The citric acid eats away any tarnish, as the salt scrubs. Be sure to wash away any clingy pulp, and/or acid. I use a mild dishsoap. If you wish to allow a lovely tarnish, do not cleanse as instructed above, it will happen overtime. If you find yourself too eager for that antiqued look, boil an egg, stick it into a resealable sandwich bag, mash it to bits, and add your copper. Remove it once your desired level of tarnish/patina has occurred. Don't forget to wash off the egg. ;)
Sulfur reacts with copper, and silver, causing a chemical reaction resulting in a lovely patina. You may reverse the effect using the citrus, as mentioned earlier.
